Data displayed from eCourts (ecourts.gov.in) is:

Always verify case status directly with the court or on the official eCourts website.

4. Limitation Period Calculator

The limitation calculator provides general guidance only. Actual limitation periods may vary based on:

  • Specific facts of the case
  • Applicable state amendments
  • Court interpretations and precedents
  • Condonation of delay applications
  • Special laws with different limitation periods

Do not rely solely on this calculator for filing deadlines.

5. Court Holiday Calendar

The holiday calendar is indicative. Actual court holidays may differ based on:

  • Court-specific holidays
  • Emergency declarations
  • Last-minute changes by court administration

Always check with the specific court for confirmed working days.

6. Notifications

WhatsApp and email notifications are supplementary reminders. We do NOT guarantee:

  • Delivery of all notifications
  • Timely delivery
  • Accuracy of notification content

Do not rely solely on our notification system for court date reminders. Maintain your own calendar.

7. Voice Notes / Audio

The voice notes feature is for personal case observations only. It must NOT be used for:

  • Recording court proceedings (illegal under Contempt of Courts Act, 1971)
  • Recording inside court premises
  • Recording other persons without their consent

Users take full responsibility for all recordings made using this feature.

8. AI Features

AI-generated content (transcriptions, summaries, case extraction) may contain errors. AI output is:

  • NOT reviewed by legal professionals
  • NOT guaranteed to be accurate
  • For reference and convenience only

Always verify AI-generated content before relying on it for any legal purpose.

9. Invoice and Billing

Invoices generated through our platform are tools for your convenience. Users are responsible for:

  • Accuracy of invoice content
  • GST compliance and filing
  • Tax calculations
  • Compliance with applicable financial regulations

10. Third-Party Services

We use third-party services including:

  • Razorpay: For payment processing (governed by Razorpay's terms)
  • CallMeBot: For WhatsApp notifications (governed by CallMeBot's terms)
  • eCourts: For case data (governed by Government of India)

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or security of third-party services.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY INDIAN LAW, Vakalat Diary shall not be liable for:

  • Any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities
  • Missed court dates or filing deadlines
  • Legal malpractice claims arising from use of our tools
  • Actions taken based on AI-generated content
  • Failure of notification delivery

12. Indemnification

Users agree to indemnify and hold Vakalat Diary harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Use or misuse of the platform
  • Documents filed using our templates
  • Misuse of the voice recording feature
  • Inaccurate data entered by the user
  • Claims by clients or third parties
